An evening out with a camera at the Chesterton Windmill.
The windmill is situated on a hill overlooking the village of Chesterton, near the famous Roman road, the Fosse Way. It is in farm land, but a small parking area on the side of the road is located opposite a short footpath, allowing visitors access to the windmill.
Chesterton Windmill is believed to have been built in the 17th century between 1632 and 1633. It is the most famous windmill in the UK. Having been refurbished a couple of times, it is operated by volunteers occasionally.
