Just leafing through some old photos (couldn’t resist that!) I came across these two photos of green leaves, taken at different times and places. The top one was a hand held macro (Canon EOS 450D, […]
Just Mountains. In Switzerland. In Switzerland it’s hard to get away from the mountains. After all it is Switzerland. Here are a couple of photos.
A pretty swan on the lake. I spotted this swan on the local lake. A nice image but very busy. De-saturating the image to just a hint of colour improved it.
Heading from robertsbridge by a different route (doing a bit of exploring) we decided to stop and see the Brighton Marina, and have a bite to eat.
Scrambled vapour trails reflecting the sunset at Saanen in Switzerland. In the mountains it is easy to forget, until you get there, that the sun effectively goes down behind the mountains well before the proper […]
A little visit to London. Camden Market at sundown – it’s always a great place to visit and nice to sit in one of the pubs as the day turns into evening.
A few photos from Perroy Beach in Switzerland. Our flight’s approach offered glimpses of the lake. Now here we were enjoying the sun on Lake Geneva.
Photos from a trip to Switzerland. Interesting clouds over lake Geneva and the mountains, catching the sunset. And the fork at Vevey.
Business trips aren’t always the best for photo opportunities. Given the right hotel and a sunrise, with camera in hand, here’s a nice sunrise in Leeds.
What a fantastic effort. Brackley’s recently refurbished town hall, adorned with 10,425 poppies crocheted by local residents in preparation for Remembrance Day, 2018.
Brook Bay on the Isle of Wight. Must be a great spot in summer.
Welcome to The Travels of The Hairy 1
The Travels of the Hairy 1 is about enjoying the journey, finding and eating good food, and, most of all taking photos. We are silversurfers. We do it our way, and we are always looking for a new and interesting budget travel destination, preferably NOT all inclusive resorts. Secluded beaches are an attractive thought! Especially if we don\'t have to walk far!
